All-Time Golf Hardo Move: Matt Kuchar Refused To Finish His Round Last Night With 1 Hole Left, Came Back This Morning Solo To Ask For Relief, Fight For A Par
In case you missed it last night, Matt Kuchar decided enough is enough. He couldn't play in the dark and finish the last hole of the Wyndham Championship. Nope, it was too important to come back out this morning and see if he can improve that t-12th position. It's a me sport not a WE sport.
Anyways, he wanders out this morning and delivered.
By delivered I mean of course he got a par. It was the only logical outcome for Kuchar here. You think he was going to birdie playing in front of the poor fellas and gals trying to close up the tournament? You thought he was going to put a show on for him and his caddie? Absolutely not. Smart to make sure of the rules before you finish the 72nd hole solo
I know it's the PGA Tour, but nothing was going to happen here. Kuch maybe gets like $60k more? The dude has made 60 million bucks in life. He's not making the playoffs, etc. They should have him play like me and you see every 7am tee time. The guy scrambling to make it to the clubhouse, the guys in his group pissed off, someone near puking, chirping back and forth before the first tee. We say people want to see average people in the Olympics, make Kuchar play with a random 3-some finishing the hole.
You may be asking what was his reasoning for doing this? It was simply being an elder and showing the way:
I might just use this excuse for everything going forward. 'Hey, Reags, why did you duck hook that drive into the woods off of 4?' Well, I'm just trying to set an example for my sons of what not to do. Lead from the front. 'Hey Reags, why did you fuck up a blog title?' Simply trying to set an example for the rest of my co-workers on what should be happening. Iron sharpens iron. Just an unbelievable 12 hours or so from Kuch. Sick par though.
